The main component of mullite honeycomb ceramics is mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2), which is a mixture of high-purity alumina (Al2O3) and
silicon dioxide (SiO2) in a certain proportion, supplemented with a small amount of additives.
Binders: such as kaolin, bentonite or organic binders, enhance the molding strength.
Pore-forming agents: such as graphite and starch, are used to form honeycomb structures with high porosity.
Stabilizer: Magnesium oxide (MgO) or zirconia (ZrO2), enhancing high-temperature stability.

1.Physical and chemical properties
High-temperature resistance: The long-term operating temperature can reach 1300-1600ºC, and it has excellent thermal shock resistance.
High porosity: Open porosity 60-80%, large specific surface area (customizable), low fluid resistance.
Chemical inertness: Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, suitable for harsh chemical environments.

2. Main Functions
High-efficiency filtration and catalysis: Capture particulate matter and serve as a catalyst carrier (such as SCR denitrification, VOCs purification).
Heat exchange and energy conservation: Used in regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO/RCO) systems to recover waste heat. Gas distribution and diffusion: Evenly distribute fluids to enhance reaction efficiency.
